Bernard “Bernie” Surath, 86, August 13, 2021; beloved husband and best friend of Rosemarie, nee Feldstein for 64 wonderful years; loving father of Pam (Mark) Anderson and Dana (Larry) Gomberg; cherished “Pop Pop” of Brian and Jennifer Anderson and Leah Gomberg; dear bother of Linda (Ted) Rockwell. Bernie was the 3rd generation to own and run his families scrap metal business in Bay City, Michigan. Bernie was loved by everyone he met and will surely be missed by everyone who’s lives he touched. A special thank you to his amazing caregivers Yolanda and Johanna. Graveside service, Sunday, August 15, 2021, 2 PM at Shalom Memorial Park. August 15th, 2021

I was a caregiver of Bernard Surath for 3 years and 1/2 he was an amazing person, so full of life, and so funny❤️❤️ I truly enjoyed and was grateful to be able to care for him. He will be truly missed.. my Condolence goes out to the Family, and close friends. He would always like to go outside and watch the ducks by the pond. He taught me so much about animals that I was not even aware of. He truly made me realize why I was appointed to work with people in this field God bless him always!🙏🏿
